Staff

The staff gathers information about your mediation through telephone calls and letters. They assign the mediators, find a meeting room, and manage the case until it is closed. Staff are neutrals and do not take anyone’s side.

Karmit Bulman, Executive Director
Karmit Bulman is the executive director of the Conflict Resolution Center (CRC) and is an attorney, qualified neutral under Rule 114, adjunct professor of Law at University of Minnesota School of Law and the author of The Conflict Consultant’s Handbook. Ms. Bulman has been the director of non-profit organizations for 26 years. She was a managing attorney for Minnesota Legal Services Coalition and served as executive director for the Minnesota Coalition for Battered Women, Avenues for Homeless Youth and Temple Israel. In her current job, she is responsible for financial management, program development, public and community relations, fund raising and oversight of CRC operations. CRC is a community-based, non-profit organization formed in 1981 for the purpose of strengthening communities by teaching and providing mediation and conflict resolution services.

Mariah Levison, Program Director
Mariah Levison served as Mediation Manager and Community Coordinator for the Center for Conflict Resolution and Safe Horizon Community Mediation Programs before joining us at CRC. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Conflict Resolution from Hampshire College and a Master of Arts in International Affairs from Washington University. Mariah has traveled extensively in Ecuador, Costa Rica and Kenya and has applied her conflict resolution skills and education in both community and International settings.

Paula Faraci, Mediation Services Manager
Paula is an experienced data base and program services manager. Paula worked with homeless youth for over ten years and is skilled in case management and administration.

Stuart Macdonald, Business Development Assistant
Stuart has over 20 years’ experience in business development, marketing, fundraising, outreach and education having worked at The Twin Cities United Way, Northwest Hennepin Human Services Council, American Heart Association and United Way of Greater St. Louis.
